President Jeanette Glose Partlow was on hand to witness several children who had made it to the State Championships. This was the first year that children from the Baltimore region had participated in the challenge. Maryland Chemical gets behind the Chemical Education Foundation’s award winning program “You Be the Chemist

After being named 2014 Chemical Distributor of the Year by the NACD, President of Maryland Chemical, Jeanette Glose Partlow decided to use the recognition to foster one of her long term goals to increase awareness about the chemical industry and support STEM related programs. In 2015 Maryland Chemical is the founding sponsor in Maryland to support the program which exists in Dorchester and Montgomery counties and is coming to the Baltimore region with Notre Dame Preparatory School, Jeanette’s alma mater. Maryland Chemical Company is thrilled to announce that Jeanette Glose Partlow, President and third generation of ownership of Maryland Chemical Company, Inc. was named by the National Association of Chemical Distributors 2014 Distributor of the Year. Individuals selected to receive this award demonstrate outstanding commitment to the chemical distribution community, working steadfastly on behalf of the whole industry and NACD.

Ms. Partlow received her award on November 20, 2014 during the Business Meeting at the NACD’s 43rd Annual Meeting. This meeting is widely considered the premier chemical distribution industry event of the year.  She was commended for dedicating a lifetime to NACD, its committees, programs, events and colleagues for the betterment of the chemical distribution industry. Maryland Chemical again recognized as a Top 100 MBE in the Mid Atlantic region  in October 2014

Both Jeanette Glose Partlow, President and Katie Glose, Vice President of Sales and Purchasing were named 2014 Top 100 100 MBE Winners at a ceremony held in Baltimore and sponsored by Baltimore City and the Mayor’s Office of Women and Minority Business Development.  The awards, which have been held for  8 years were created to recognize those enterprising women and minority entrepreneurs that fuel this nation’s economy through their innovation, sacrifices, and dedication.
