Maryland Chemical congratulates the 2016 National “You Be the Chemist” Winner
The 2016 National Challenge Celebrated “Around the World of Chemistry!”
At this year’s National Challenge in Philadelphia participants explored the ways that chemistry is helping us solve global challenges and how chemistry binds us together as global citizens. The National Chemistry Education Foundation highlighted chemists and companies worldwide who are using chemistry in unique ways to advance human potential.
The festivities celebrated the outstanding achievements of 39 bright middle school students as they showed off their knowledge of chemistry under the bright lights of the Kimmel Center. The competition was followed by a Celebration Reception, Dinner, and Award Ceremony at the National Constitution Center.
